NEW! SHORE FISHING THE FRASER CANYON FOR STURGEON
In a by-gone era the traditional way to fish for the mighty white sturgeon was to cast from shore and wait for the bite on the comforts of dry land. This technique has long been forgotten by most as the advent of jet boats, and the technology that came with them, drastically changed the views of the modern sturgeon angler. This fishing method is being resurrected as we try and get back to our roots and return to simpler things. With that in mind Great River Fishing has procured access to some of the best and most stunning shoreline fishing spots on the Fraser Canyon. These private spots are not only filled with giant fish but offer some of the most picturesque back drops one can imagine.
The fishing technique is very similar to what we do out of the boats, however once the baits are set you will find yourself on a beautiful sand beach stretched out next to a fire or perhaps combing the rocky shoreline, all the while waiting on the telltale tug from the dinos of the deep. It’s like having a fabulous picnic with the anticipation of some great fishing action. Contact us for more info.
